A: We do not permit any stall holders to sell real fur. All traders at our events are subject to an application process through our Environmental Health teams which requires the operators to list the products they intend to sell. Markets are then inspected by both Environmental Health and Trading Standards officers before and during selling to ensure that vendors are compliant at all times.
However, we are unaware of any official policy documents or guidelines to enforce this.

Scottish Borders Council do not actually run any Markets but we do own and leases two market sites to Market Operators who run the Markets themselves.
