Bradford Metropolitan Council has the following markets: Oastler Centre, Bradford City Centre, Kirkgate Market, Bradford City Centre, Keighley Market, Bingley Open Market, Shipley Open Market and St James’s Wholesale Market
Here is the Council’s response to our FoI request:
Q: Do you allow stall holders at your markets to sell real fur?
A: There are no specific exclusions preventing traders offer real fur for sale. Markets Management have confirmed there are no market traders that specialise in the sale of real fur to the general public.
The Council allows the sale of fur.
Real fur is cruel and unnecessary. Please urge the Council to ban the sale of real fur on their markets and adopt the official Fur Free Markets policy by contacting Cllr Alex Ross-Shaw, Portfolio Holder- Regeneration, Housing, Planning & Transport, email: alex.ross-shaw@bradford.gov.uk
