Here is the Council’s response to our Freedom of Information request:
Q: Do you allow stall holders at your markets to sell real fur? (including small items such as knitted hats with fur bobbles, or key rings with fur trims etc.
A: We don’t have a specific policy that I can refer too with regards to the sale of fur but I would think we would maintain the fur free commitment if our contract with LSD were to end.
They are considering our Fur Free Markets Scheme documents.
LSD Promotions no longer run this market and the council have been asked for clarification on their fur policy.
